My Client Services (expanding to Los Angeles and Orange County)

The gist of all this is I’m going to be expanding my in-person services primarily from San Diego to also include Orange County and Los Angeles. You can email me if you’re interested, b-reddy@hotmail.com, or keep reading for more info.

This was edited 6/26/15 to reflect my most recent availability.

For a long time my client services have mainly consisted of a home base in San Diego (Escondido / North County), and remote clients.

Sprinkled within that have been a considerable amount of people from Los Angeles and Orange County, who have either driven to see me, others I’ve been able to meet up with, and some where the distance just didn’t work. I want to see if I can better help the last group.

Keep reading for an all encompassing look, or if you’re in one of the following areas, click to be taken to that area’s specifics:

At-home training

I recently had an old client of mine, who had moved, ask if I could do some at home training for her and some friends. During one of our conversations she mentioned, “I was telling my boss how you’ve been coming over in the morning for training. He mentioned how much easier that sounded to him than having to try and make it to the gym a few days per week.”

These are people with young kids, who are dealing with the chaos of the morning school routine. As I’ve gotten older, I have a better appreciation for how helpful having at-home training can be versus trying to make it to the gym. This is the first thing I’m going to be adding. (More details in a minute.)

Orange County

Due to a few different reasons, I’ve found myself more and more in Orange County the last two years. I’m going to be adding some at-home training here too.

Los Angeles

I’m not in LA as often, but besides New York, I probably get the most amount of emails from Los Angeles.

While for LA the most I could probably pull off is once a week, I’m going to be offering some at-home work as well. The idea here is it’s easier to pay me some extra to make the trip to you, than it is for you to make a trip to me in San Diego or Orange County. Being self-employed, with half my business online, allows me a greater level of flexibility than many have. I want to take more advantage of it.

San Diego

To all my SD clients, nothing is changing. (I wouldn’t announce it to you on a website anyways!) Nor are there any plans to change anything. This will still be my home base per se, I’m only going to be adding more at-home training. Considering the county is so big, I’ve had some people have to make quite a trek to see me. I want to lessen the friction for those who either have to make the trip, or those who avoid making the trip because it’s too far, scheduling, tough to make it to the gym, etc.

Remote

I have the remote service for those who aren’t in the Southern California area, but I also use this with those who are. For instance, I’ve had some travel down from Orange County, get an assessment, then from there we continue on a remote basis. Perhaps with another few in person visits, depending on the person. This has gone very, very well. (Example here.)

I highly recommend nearly everyone go the remote route first. It saves everyone traveling, particularly in a a section of the state which seems to hate public transit, and it’s more cost effective.

Different scenarios

There are lot of different ways this can go. Let me start with,

-San Diego:

  • I have people who see me three times, two times and once per week.
  • Some others who’ve made once or twice a month work.
    • I like to think of this as a monthly check-up. Each month I write a new program, we go over things, answer any questions, check technique, etc. Then repeat the next month.
  • I have people whom I train at their house 2-3 times per week.
  • I’ve had people who come to see me for a couple months to address one concern, then they’re off on their own.

-Orange County:

  • I’ve had people come to see me once and then continue things on a remote basis.
  • I’ve had people come to see me once a week for a few months, then continue remotely.
  • I’m now going to start offering seeing people in Orange County more regularly
    • At most, this would probably be 1-2 times per week. Where the rest of the week you would be on your own. But with programming guidelines from me, detailing exactly what and how much to do.
    • I could also come over for an assessment, then we continue remotely, or whatever works. Point being those in Orange County don’t have to come all the way to San Diego now.

-Los Angeles:

  • I’ve had people come to see me once and then continue things on a remote basis.
  • I’ve gone to see people once and then continue on a remote basis.
    • Here is an example. Charles a month after I met up with him in LA (he was in town for an event):

And then we continued for a while longer remotely:

  • I’m now going to start offering seeing people in Los Angeles on a more regular, at-home basis.
    • At most, this would probably be once per week. Where the rest of the week you would be on your own. But with programming guidelines from me, detailing exactly what and how much to do.
    • I could also come over for an assessment, then we continue remotely, or whatever works. Point being those in Los Angeles don’t have to come all the way to San Diego now.

For those in other areas, such as Riverside county, same things as LA would apply.

Like I said, San Diego is still where I’m going to be spending most of my time in-person wise. Meaning I don’t have a ton of availability for Orange County and Los Angeles. If you’re interested though, based on how well things have gone with people traveling to see me, I think things will only be easier and go smoother with the above changes. (Check out the testimonials page for a plethora of examples, many of whom did some combination of the above scenarios.) Again, I very much recommend the remote process for most to start out with. Unless you’re around the block, or hate sending videos for some reason. Regardless, the more I can see someone -whether that’s in person or videos- the more I can help.
